Willem Middelkoop on the BRICS and the West against the Rest

Willem Middelkoop is a great financial analyst. Well-educated, critical thinker, non-bullshitter, and of course, the Dutch's straightforwardness (bluntness?) which is always appreciated. I've followed him long enough to convince myself his analysis is sound.

Daniela Cambone is an excellent interviewer, of course.

As Willem points out, I also think it is a matter of time for Saudi Arabia (and other countries) to join the BRICS (BRICSS? BRICS+? At some point, they need to think of a new name).

There is no doubt many countries around the world are getting increasingly fed up with the current petrodollar system. My base case is that in the current decade, physical Gold (and Silver, to a lesser extent) and Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies, to a lesser extent) will have a more predominant role in the dawning world's financial system.

There is enough evidence to support the case that the USD is slowly loosing its position as a global reserve currency. Unfortunately, if we look back at history, that means there will be more kinetic wars ahead—no empire in the past has allowed its currency being dethroned without engaging in brutal and costly wars.

Any way.

Still a good time to educate yourself, diversify and prepare for the (uncertain) future. No financial advice, of course.
